What is Oxilixo Pigmented?
Oxilixo Pigmented is a ready-to-use, water-based rust converter and primer that transforms existing rust into a stable, corrosion-resistant layer while leaving a smooth, durable colored finish. Designed for direct application on rusty or bare metal, it forms a tough, protective film that can be left as the final coat or overcoated for enhanced durability.
Available in Black, Grey, Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow.
Supplied in 1 Litre bottles Brush Or Spray Applied (also available in sizes from 100 mL to 5 L).

How to Apply Oxilixo Pigmented
Surface Preparation
Remove loose rust, scale, grease, or contaminants (SSPC-SP3 standard).
Rinse thoroughly with fresh water; light flash rust or tightly adhered rust may remain.
Equipment & Product
Ready-to-use—no stirring or thinning required.
Flush spray equipment with clean water before use.
Application Technique
Spray: Airless tip 0.016–0.018", fan 60°, pressure 3.0–3.5 kp.
Brush/Roller: Ideal for smaller areas, weld seams, or edges.
Work product well into the surface while wet; overlap passes by 50% to ensure complete coverage.
Film Thickness & Drying
Standard Use: 1–1.5 mils DFT (2–3 mils wet)
Heavy-Duty/Marine: 1.5–2 mils DFT (3–4 mils wet)
Recoat Time: 1–3 hours depending on temperature and humidity.
Curing & Topcoat
Touch up defects by brush when film is touch-dry.
Allow 12–24 hours for full cure before applying additional coatings such as epoxy, acrylic, alkyd, vinyl, or polyurethane systems.
